Did You Know...?

*  Sherwood Elementary School's building capacity is for 377 children.

*  In September, 2007, 490 students enrolled at Sherwood Elementary.

*  Sherwood Elementary is 30% overcapacity, a 5% increase from 2006.

*  There are at least 261 homes being planned or built in the Sherwood Elementary area.

*  We currently have 7 "relocatable classrooms" (a.k.a. PORTABLES).

*  We can easily grow to 13 relocatable classrooms.

*  Sherwood Elementary has had portables for over 10 years.

*  Sherwood Elementary PTA has been seeking an addition for 5 years.

*  The Sherwood ES addition is included in the 2009 budget for planning, but construction funding could be cut in future budget years.
